Commentary: What amazes me the most about this episode in the American economy are the idiots out there that still put the blame on the consumers that bought these mortgages. That is like putting the blame on the mother that buys meat poisoned with mad cow disease at the supermarket, instead of blaming the FDA. Which forces the question: who is then to blame? The Government is to blame for the sin of omission, omitting to regulate the market.

America is going into fasting mode to solve the economic crisis. 09/29/2008

 All the Christian groups in America have started to sacrifice and fast for 40 days. What is my opinion? God is tired of sacrifices and he rather have you do mercy.

America, have mercy towards immigrants, towards Mexican Catholics. Stop deporting us by the hundreds every day. America, have mercy. God does not want your sacrifices and fasting. He would rather prefer that you had mercy towards Mexican Catholics living in your land. Stop deportations, and give us a path to lawful stay in this land we have been working so many years for.

Example: I have been living in the USA since 1976, yet I cannot vote. I have paid my share of taxes since the 1980’s, yet I cannot vote. Give us equal rights. Treat us like brothers. Be merciful America. I bet you God would like mercy rather than a 40 day fasting period, don’t you think?
